Washington Law and Politics has named Dean Brett as a Super Lawyer for the fourth consecutive year. None of the five other Washington County Super Lawyers has received such consistent selection. The August-September issue created the exclusive list from nominations of its readership in the legal and political community throughout the state. There are currently over 20,000 lawyers licensed to practice in Washington and over 200 practicing in Whatcom County.

Dean Brett founded Brett & Daugert PLLC in 1972. He handles wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases. He has handled numerous multimillion dollar toxic tort, personal injury claims, and commercial disputes. He has served as President of the Whatcom County Bar Association and as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Washington State Trial Lawyer’s Association.

"Although I appreciate being selected," Brett said, "it's really unfair because most of the readers are in Seattle. There are a number of very good lawyers in Bellingham who just aren’t known outside the local bar."
